Call for Workshops

The 26th IEEE International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud, and Internet Computing (CCGrid2026) invites workshop proposals to be held in conjunction with the event.

Workshops serve as platforms for discussions on specific subjects, new research areas, or interdisciplinary fields. Organisers have the flexibility to design these workshops in various ways, including invited lectures, panel discussions, presentations of ongoing work, peer-reviewed short or full papers, or a mix of these elements.

Workshops will be scheduled in parallel sessions on the opening day of the conference (May 18th, 2026). While it is suggested that workshops last for half a day, they can be extended to a full day based on the interest, available space, and preferences of the organisers.

The acceptance rate for workshops should be aligned closely with that of CCGrid2026 (between 20% and 25%). To qualify for publication, all accepted papers must be peer reviewed by at least two reviewers. Accepted workshop papers will be included in the CCGrid2026 workshop proceedings, which will be available online at the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. It is recommended that organisers design workshops for groups of 20-40 people to maximise their effectiveness and encourage meaningful discussions. For each accepted workshop paper, at least one author is required to register for the CCGrid conference at standard registration rates and must present the paper.

Submission Requirements

Workshops should ideally correspond to one or more topics of interest at the CCGrid2026 conference. Workshop proposals must be in PDF format and include the following:

  • An abstract (half to a page) explaining how the proposed workshop aligns or complements the topics of CCGrid.
  • A brief description of why and to whom the workshop would be of interest.
  • List of workshop organisers, including their affiliations, emails, and short biographies (up to ten lines for each organiser).
  • List of potential program committee members and their prior experience in organising workshops/conferences.
  • List of topics of interest.
  • Description of the expected structure of the workshop (papers, invited talks, panel discussions, etc.) and its desired length (i.e. half or full day).
  • A brief history of the previous occurrences of the workshop (with links to their websites, if available) highlighting the estimated number of attendees as well as the number of submitted and accepted papers.
  • A publicity plan to attract submissions and attendees, highlighting the expected number of anticipated submissions, accepted papers, and attendees.
  • List of possible related special issues in indexed journals.
  • Preliminary CFP (call for papers) with targeted deadlines.
